Some stats from Stanford's 10-0 loss to USC in 1986 --

Total offense: USC 314, Stanford 172

First downs: USC 18, Stanford 8

Punts: USC 6, Stanford 9

John Paye passing: 23-37, 122 yards, 3 interceptions (that's 3.3 yards per attempt, 5.3 yards per completion)

Dave Wyman: 27 tackles, 1 interception, 2 pass deflections, 3 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks

Wyman was one holy terror on the gridiron (and sometimes off, too!).  Wonder if Shaw would view him today as "a Stanford Man."  All I know is our D could use a couple Wymans right about now . . .
