Have to give credit to safety McGill there...

RE: Oregon St. Game Thread - Phogge - 12-12-2020

Lance, if you can’t get a push from your front you have to blitz. Finally they blitz and the Qb throws it away.

Our D needs Mason.

RE: Oregon St. Game Thread - ADPinWDC - 12-12-2020

Into the Victory position at the end of the 1st Half... after throwing a TD to Fehoko (called back on obvious holding).
Turtle it, down 9 to 14 after 30min.

The defense needs players. A number of these guys look like mid-major caliber.

RE: Oregon St. Game Thread - Phogge - 12-12-2020

No, the D needs talent first and speed also first. They have little of either. On the faux TD the guy Dalman is holding probably sacks Mills.

Since Stanford is not playing for the title why not get a little aggressive on defense. I hate passive play. Shaw will never fire Anderson.

BTW, Slovis did it again. Dynamic.

Slovis is incredible, poised -- looks like Joe Montana.

And Florida goes down to a left hand true frosh QB who is really good.

Perhaps fire him as Recruiting Coordinator? Doesn't he have that position? Anderson has had some good defenses...when he had better players.

Is this on internet radio anywhere?  Sure isn’t on KZSU.

RE: Oregon St. Game Thread - BostonCard - 12-12-2020

In other news, JT Daniels has been the difference this year in Georgia.

A little razzle dazzle!  Nice throw by Mills and catch by Fehoko, but worth noting that Fehoko was double covered.

RE: Oregon St. Game Thread - martyup - 12-12-2020

Why not go for 2 on the extra point?  If it fails, were up by 1.  Now were up by 2.

RE: Oregon St. Game Thread - JohnR34231 - 12-12-2020

Great catch by Fehoko. What's the logic in not going for two?

I was asking myself the same thing! Don't tell me this was another brain fart by our offensive (and I mean "offensive") brain trust.

RE: Oregon St. Game Thread - JJJ - 12-12-2020

Why do they insist on saying Fehoku when it’s spelled Fehoko? Am I wrong?

The only thing I can think of is that if you get another TD it is now a two score game. If you go for two and miss it isn't.
Whoa, it didn't take the Beavers long to answer that one. I hope we can keep scoring. Looks like we are going to need to.

RE: Oregon St. Game Thread - BostonCard - 12-12-2020

Early in the second half, you have no idea what the next sequence of scores is going to be, and you may wind up regretting not having that point.  For example, now that Oregon State scored to go up by 5, if we get two field goals we would win.

RE: Oregon St. Game Thread - Red80 - 12-12-2020

I don't normally nitpick play-calling, but Stanford is 0-4 on that slant pattern to Humphreys. None of them have been close.
