Do you know that to be true, or are you basing it on their absence this past weekend?  Their absence could be explained by a quarantine due to Christmas travel as far as I know.  But it is certainly possible that it is what you are saying.

More than possible.

Well, then there is a high chance some players will test positive, too.

RE: WBB: Schedule updates - BobK - 01-05-2021

Well they didn’t test possible. So there’s that.

UConn-Baylor for Thursday cancelled because Mulkey tested positive for COVID

The OSU game is postponed, not canceled. Think Stanford has maxed out its non-conference games.

Ugh. Very lucky so far, but ASU has cancelled its trip to the Washington schools "due to recent COVID developments within our team."

To me, this kind of thing is really concerning. If "within our team" means a player has tested positive, that means Stanford players will have been exposed during a game. Doesn't matter how careful they are while not actually playing if an opponent, on the floor with them, is contagious.

RE: WBB: Schedule updates - Lorcan - 01-05-2021

In other news, Kim Mulkey at Baylor tested positive after going home for Christmas. I’m sending good thoughts Baylor’s way. Their game against UConn, Friday, is now cancelled. UConn was originally slated to face Louisville, Baylor, and Mississippi State which have all been cancelled. They do still have games with South Carolina and Tennessee on the schedule, but it just goes to show how tough things have been this season for teams. UConn’s biggest test to date is DePaul which has been slightly below their usual average this year. It’s not inconceivable to think that UConn might run the rest of their schedule, but if the game against SC gets cancelled, they become very tricky to seed.

The Gramy's are being postponed due to the emerging COVID-19 situation in Southern California, but basektball is still ok.  Sorry, I know I sound like a broken record, but a three month break is probably the best course of action.

And we used to have a board for debating such things! ;)

I keep flashing on that idiot Michael Price pulling down his mask to yell something.

I really wish the NCAA would take a break of a month or two, finish up the conferences in, say, May, then do a quick bubbled tourney in San Antonio or something.

ASU cancels this weekend’s games

RE: WBB: Schedule updates - petersalas - 01-05-2021

Hopefully this doesn’t impact Stanford’s game against Oregon on Friday...
