He succeeded in discrediting her unsubstantiated claims and shredding most of her arguments. I particularly enjoyed his mocking of her unfounded e-bike accusations, which would constitute massive NCAA violations if true.

Definitely whiny and ill-informed.  The clincher for me is her lack of understanding of walk-on scholarships and why they are newsworthy.  Two non-scholarship athletes worked hard, weren't eligible for training table, spent a lot of time literally without compensation.  Their performance and character earned them scholarships in the MIDDLE of their Stanford tenure.  And all this is in addition to their performance in high school that got them into Stanford.  Where's your article, indeed.  Sorry, but you're just another Stanford student at this point. I hate to break it to you, but that ain't news.
