Outstanding play today especially by Zhang and Sturdza. Congratulations to the entire team! Stanford gets a tougher field next week in Chicago at the Windy City Collegiate Championship. I believe it is played at the Glen View Club. Teams scheduled to compete include the current #1 team in the country, South Carolina as well as #2 Duke, #8 Texas and the other USC. We'll see who is available to play for Stanford.

That is one determined team. First, second, and a top ten as well as shooting the low team round of the day by five strokes while not being able to drop any scores.
1. Zhang -3
T2. Sturdza E
T8. Krauter +5
T24. Englemann +12
Zhang was the only player to finish under par. Bayonet is a TOUGH course. Sturdza made SEVEN birdies today to post the low round of the day (-5).
And all of this without Heck, Ye, and Seay...this is gonna be a fun year to watch! If you're local, come out and see them play at home Thu-Sat Oct 14-16.

282 was the low round of the tournament, by a mile. We wind up winning fairly decisively when all is said and done. Congrats to the golf team.
