RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - PVTree - 01-15-2022

Started off leading 5-0 and were outscored 43-20 the rest of the way. Turnover after turnover, hot three point shooting by them, and letting them get some OR have been factors in the big deficit we face. It seems too big a hole to make a comeback.

Yep/ Tired, flat and not very good. I wish I could coach Delaire. He could be really good.

So, I guess you're saying you could do a better job of coaching than Hasse.  Pretty bold.

Well, he's not my favorite. But, nahhh, I'd just like to tell Delaire a couple things. We are terrible so far aren't we.

We were not terrible this week when we beat the #5 ranked team and a tough WSU team on the Palouse.  Does Hasse get any credit for those wins?

This is our 3rd game this week and it shows.  Plus, UW is shooting way better than normal.  Let's see if we can climb back into this game before we blame Hasse for the loss.

I acknowledged same after WSU win and totally agree with you. That doesn't have to make him a favorite, though. I'd be pleased if he proves me wrong.

You called it, winflop. I expected this outcome against WSU, so splitting this road trip feels fine to me, especially given the circumstances. My only concern is how the team will perform through the rest of conference play. Recent history suggests not well, but we'll see soon enough.

Wouldn't surprise me if UW pulls away in the second half, and I wouldn't be upset if it happened. The kids have to be a little gassed.

Down 9. The fat lady sat down.

Rats. Pulled to within 6, then Udub hits a three. C'mon guys!

RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - martyup - 01-15-2022

6 point game, our ball, 4:11 to play. We are in this.

4 point game and we miss a 3.

3 point game and we're shooting a FT.

RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - ADPinWDC - 01-15-2022

Huskies Football coaching staff came in at half to make the adjustments.

But -- we gotta make a trey

RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - martyup - 01-15-2022

2 point game with 43.3 seconds to play. Can we steal this game?

Jones blocks Brown's shot and then is called for a mystery loose ball foul.  We now trail by 3 with 15 seconds to play, our ball.

RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - burger - 01-15-2022

Why was Kisunas in when we need 3? Silva and Taitz are great shooters.

Also should've fouled on the last UW possession. Ugh.

RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - martyup - 01-15-2022

We're down 3 shooting FTs with 2.2 seconds to play.  Ingram at the line.

RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - burger - 01-15-2022

Still upset that we didn't put five shooters on the floor on that last possession.  What was Haase thinking?

RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - newguy - 01-15-2022

BAHHH.

RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - martyup - 01-15-2022

It's a loss, but not an embarrassment.  We outscored them 39-23 in the second half.  End of a tough week.

RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - burger - 01-15-2022

Winnable game terribly managed in the final minute.

RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - PVTree - 01-15-2022

A winnable game lost. We need these types of wins to get consideration to get in the dance. This is a bad loss as Washington is not a good team.

RE: Men's BB: Stanford @ UW, 3 pm Saturday, Pac-12 Net - winflop - 01-15-2022

Heck of a comeback to make it close. Going 1-1 on this road trip, and a big win over the Toejams this week should be celebrated.

I just continue to struggle to get on board with this team. Are they better than I expected? Yes!! But Haase's teams have faded so often that I can't trust

RE: Men's BB: Stanford 64 - UW 67 - 81alum - 01-15-2022

I watched the first half and the last 5 minutes.  After the first half, I almost did not come back to check on the game, but I did, and what a comeback.  Any talk of the team being exhausted went out the window.  This team has heart, and if they had not dug such a deep hole for themselves they would have won easily.  Not the outcome that we want, but compared with last year this team is fun to watch and easy to like.

Agree. I stopped watching because I’m too old for that kind of excitement. On the radio call, the guys noted that Udub shot out of their minds in the first half. Plus Stanford was utterly befuddled by the zone D. Rumor: hotel staff switched the team to decaf Saturday morning.
