Cardinal Band won the "fan vote" at the Battle of the Bands, but the three judges voted for Louisville so their 3/4 of the vote trumped the fan vote. Grrr! At least the Card beat UConn's band

Looks like Dee Kantner in semi #1. That makes it likely Missy will be ref in a Stanford game

I came here to point out the same thing. Fingers crossed that she got the axe.

Staley is having a fit over an obvious 2nd foul on her player.
Don't sleep on Louisville.

Van Lith gets all the publicity, but Smith and Engstler (sp?) are keeping Louisville right there in 1H.
They are scrappy . . . and that's an undrestatement.

Oh wow. An ad for “Dream On” about the 1996 Olympic women’s basketball team but without any mention or showing of Tara, but they got Dawn Staley in the ad in a speaking role

So, who do you guys like between South Carolina and UConn?

My niece who was at today's games with me has UConn winning over South Carolina. To me it's a tossup.

It will be a battle between Boston for USC and UConn’s guards. I would probably give the edge to USC and Boston, but I could see Bueckers going off at home.

I expect SoCar to win by 8-14 points. Boston will have 20/20 again.

South Carolina asserting their dominance early, leading 22-8 after the first quarter. They already have 7 offensive rebounds and one of UConn's bigs, Nelson-Ododa already has 2 fouls.
Zia Cooke feeling it early, 4/6 for 8 points as well.
Gamecocks doing a great job denying the Huskies' top two threats: Bueckers and Fudd have ONE field goal ATTEMPT that quarter.

UConn getting blasted, down 22-8 after one quarter. I maintain it's because playing Stanford wore them down. :)

UConn battling back in the second quarter after South Carolina widened the lead early on in the quarter, but the Huskies fought back with Bueckers collecting 9 points and they are within single digits (8 points) at the half.
South Carolina got cold and Staley had some nerves of steel, resting Boston despite the UConn resurgence.
Very weird statistic: UConn shooting much better, percentage-wise (54%) to S. Carolina (38%), but the Gamecocks had 17 more shot opportunities thanks to an incredible 16 offensive rebounds.

46-37 after three. Each team has had at least one prolonged drought (UConn has had two, that’s the difference).
BC
By the way, if you had told me that into the fourth quarter, Boston would be limited to 8 points, I would have asked you how big UConn’s lead was, but, strikingly, it is South Carolina’s guards (Henderson with 20 and Cooke with 11) who have been the difference for South Carolina.
BC
It’s not over, but South Carolina is winning by 13 with 2 and a half minutes to go, and they are still applying a full court pressure. If I’m honest, I don’t see how we could have beaten South Carolina, which just has too many weapons.
BC
With a minute to go and a 15 point Carolina lead, Geno called off the dogs, and South Carolina is going to win the title. Fairly, they were the best team all season.

I thought it was not going to be close, and it wasn't. Yukon didn't have bigs that can stay with Boston and, apparently, guards that can stay with Henderson.
Yukon did enough to make us have our worst game of the year in the semis and deprived us of a chance to battle Boston and SCar.
