It probably doesn't help that ESPN had multiple cover stories one the women's gymnastics championship but to date doesn't even have an AP wire story on the men's. Sheesh.

There's no comparison between men's and women's gymnastics in terms of public interest, and never has been. Simone Biles earned a reported $5 - $10 million in endorsement income last year, Mary Lou Retton was on the cover of the Wheaties box, Laurie Hernandez was on Dancing With The Stars, etc. Few Americans can name even a single male gymnast. I suppose Mitch Gaylord starred in America Anthem, but that's really the exception.
