RE: Stanford Track & Field - BobK - 06-11-2022

Stanford Men finished 8th. The top Pac 12 team. Congrats
Hacker graduated from HS now 7 years ago. Thanks for pointing out some ages. Geesh

RE: Stanford Track & Field - BostonCard - 06-11-2022

Congrats, but still a bit of a disappointment compared to expectations that we could finish as high as fifth, no?

No one particularly cares about 5th vs 8th. I certainly don't, and I'm a Stanford T&F alum (despite you calling me a troll with no evidence then doubling-down on it in a WBB thread). Team scoring in track is bogus anyway, other than dual meets imo.

I care
Aragon 3rd 4:10.00
Heymach 5th 4:10:58
The winner 4:09.42.

Stanford now with 12 points

RE: Stanford Track & Field - BobK - 06-11-2022

Jones 4th in the Heptathlon. Great performance

Stanford with 17 points.

RE: Stanford Track & Field - BobK - 06-11-2022

Stanford women finish 13th

RE: Stanford Track & Field - akiddoc - 06-11-2022

Was really hoping Heymach would have a better year. 4:04:84 at the Olympic trials last year.

RE: Stanford Track & Field - BobK - 06-11-2022

Me also Akiddoc. I was thinking sub 4 this season

It may not matter this year, but the Directors Cup distinguishes between 5th and 8th by 4.5 points.  (4th is 5 more than 5th)
Not a big difference, but placing this high is great, and gains a net of nearly 20 points (after knocking out another Stanford should-be score).

Stanford does very well overall
