Are the trials in Albuquerque?  Seems odd to have the Olympic trials at altitude when the actual event is much lower.

Makes a lot more sense, but the temps and humidity are probably a lot different than Paris.  At least my memories of Florida and France from my Army days are a lot different. I used to follow our distance runners pretty closely, but really have no idea who we have, or their talent level.

Grant Fisher missed the American record in the indoor 5000 last week by 2 or 3 tenths of a second. He broke the American record for the 2 mile a few days earlier. Recent video discussing his training:

I guess Whitaker hasn't given up on the 1500 experiment. The 4:30 converts to a 4:10 1500 for most runners. She'll need to run about 4 or 5 seconds faster to win NCAA's.

Will Floyd broke the Stanford freshmen indoor record in the 400 meters, running 46.46. That is fast for a freshman.

In the NCAA indoors Stanford
Men were 26 th. 10 points all by Robinson with 3rd in the 5 K and 5th in the 3K

For the season Stanford Men added 11 top 10 performances and two School records both by Robinson 3K and 5 K.

In the NCAA women’s meet Stanford was 10 th with 16 points. Whittaker winning the 800 and Jones 3rd in the LJ

For the season the Women added 23 to the top 10 list and set 5 school records and just missed several others
School Records were:
Whittaker 800
Frosh Bunnage in the 1500 by 24 seconds breaking the record held by Fiona O’Keeffe the Olympic trails marathon winner
The Distance Medley Relay team
The Pentathlon by Jones
Whittaker in the Mile

Bob,
Who is the Roisin you refer to in the splits in an earlier post.  I do not find her on the roster. Her time is awfully fast so maybe they are just trying to get Whitaker to the point where she is a threat to win the 1500 to get more points than we might otherwise earn.
