The Vegas betting line is Stanford -14.5 which is a lot tighter than I would have expected.
That's...not good. I would have expected much more, something like 28-29 points. They were 3-8 last year, losing to San Jose State 59-3. All of their eight losses except one were by three TDs or more. Last year, they beat USD in their opener 27-10...this year, they
lost to USD in their opener, 27-21...a 23 point turnaround in the wrong direction.

If we get up by 14+ and show some ability to stuff CP, TT will put Lamson and Brown in to take their turns. The question would be does he empty the benches for the other positions or does he let them have a go with the first-string O. I think that will affect the final spread as much as any other factor.

Our last string players should beat their first string players by 4 TDs...

Yes... but, I think our Defense will contain the CP Mustangs, get some TOs.

This is the game performance model we want today: INDY 77, W.ILL 3
https://www.espn.com/college-football/boxscore/_/gameId/401628463
Over 700 yards of total offense, good balance on Rush and Pass, over 300y each.
3 different QBs, 8 different RBs touching the ball. Two big receivers bagging over 100y each.
W.ILL got that crucial FG right before the half to avoid the blanking.

VegasInsider has the line at between Stanford -34.5 and -35.5. Might you have been looking at the wrong game?
