After scoring 32 in the first Q, we only scored 16 in the 2nd. However, we did have a lot of bench players on the court.
Ogden is still struggling to find her game. It's too bad. I really thought that she'd be a key player on this year's team. She's not showing that to be true, so far.

I think it was second of the year, third of her career.

We are playing so sloppily. A 1-6 team in a lower D1 conference should not have 12 steals. I think the refs are not calling it especially evenly, but we seem rattled on offense and as has been this team's custom, a lot of passing up open shots. I'm also puzzled by KP's unwillingness to sub in Ume more. She's looked pretty good in the limited time I've seen her, and we will definitely need a deeper post rotation for conference play.

Announcer said that UCSD had several players injured.

We have 37 rebounds and the high rebounder on our team has 6. Good team rebounding.

Bosgana now 10 for 10 from the field.

I sure wish she would play like this every game.

lots of sloppy, lazy turnovers. 23 now, 4 in 2 minutes

We got outscored 50-45 over the last 28 minutes of the game. Fortunately, the first 12 minutes, where we outscored UCSD 39-4 also count. And, to be fair, lots of second and third team players got lots of minutes. Still, you would think even with starters sitting out we could outscore UCSD easily.

Slightly OT: watch the postgame interview with Elena. For the first time I can remember, Mary Murphy asks a dumb question.

Well, not a lot to say about this. Congrats to Bosgana for having a can't-miss 10/10 day. Outstanding. More of that please.
Have you noticed that Brooke frequently leads the team in assists? She led with 5 today.
The second half got very, very sloppy. But there were some beautiful plays mixed in, including some cuts that worked perfectly.
I asked at the chalk talk what the priority was to improve over the next few games, and the answer was precision, crispness, and execution with the offense. 25 turnovers heading into the game at LSU is probably not what Jeanette had in mind.
We are a young team, with two steps forward and one step back. Let's just make sure there are more forward steps than backward steps.
We will learn what our team is really made out of next week.

And here is an interesting (and amazing) stat pointed out in the post game write-up. Bosgana, Agara, and Heal started the game going 19/19, including 8/8 from three point range.
Bosgana's perfect 10/10 is one of only six such performances in the NCAA since 2002.
Also, I did not know that all three times we have played USCD in the past they were exhibitions. This was our first game with UCSD that counted. But it sure looked like an exhibition.
As far as I know, there was no press conference. Please correct me if I am wrong.

After reading the box score, I thought to myself: “Has any Stanford basketball player ever done anything better than 10 for 10 from the field?” Checking…………..checking………oh right, Lichti. What an accomplishment for Bosgana.

I recall Jason Collins having a near perfect game too. I think he only missed a late game three point heave.

I looked all over for that press conference, then realized there had been no members of the press in attendance.
