Went back and watched it because I wanted to see if there was any reason to give him the benefit of the doubt. There isn’t. He had plenty of time. He stepped up in the pocket. There was nobody in his line of vision and he threw the ball behind a receiver, who was essentially not only well covered, but had three other defenders in the area. It was a poor decision and a poor pass.
Get a quarterback next year. Please.
I mean, this is a bad football team in so many ways. But you gotta start somewhere.

Defense has had its challenges today, but still playing their hearts out. Thanking them (and praying for a QB for next year).

Terrible series by Gulbranson, ending in a deep sack.
We are now NET ZERO rushing.
"Bad" Gulbranson now 7 of 16 for 138 yards, one TD, and 2 INTs. BAD

#7 on Pitt runs circles athletically around anyone in red and white… this one is about to turn ugly

SMU nips MIAM in OT in Dallas.
Heintschel shredding us. Up 21 to 10 now with under 2min in 1H.

Reminded of the quote from last year:
“You don’t ice a kicker from Fargo”
21-13 at the half.

At the half, Stanford has -5 yards rushing. Even if you take out the 19 yards that Gilbranson has lost being sacked, that is still 14 yards on 10 carries, or 1.4 ypc.

Sitting here in the sun watching this whatever it is I have to express some sympathy for Gulbranson. He has the same problems KJ Costello did, only worse. His receivers just don't get separation and almost every pass is a risk. His line is porus. He has little running game It becomes increasingly difficult to not throw the ball and get sacked Of course, Costello had a much better arm and could run a little. Gulbranson can't.

Cannot take that sack. That ball has to be thrown away.

At some point, enough.

If Pitt could catch, Gulbranson would have seven picks today

51 is the worst offensive lineman I’ve watched in college football in 30 + years

Elijah Brown didn’t look bad on the last drive. 35-20 is a little more respectable.

Brown likes CJ Williams... TD! Both from Mater Dei.
Brown finishes 10 of 14 for 108 yards, and now a TD. Nice.
