Get the ball to Lapolo. She’s the only one on the team who hasn’t scored yet.

Lepolo has had the ball but won't' shoot.
Yeah I know.

I was wrong. Ezike hasn’t scored either.

at least one of the announcers must be a Boston College grad.

Yeah, evidently we decided to stop playing after 3 when the score was 63-24.  Sadly, we’ve fallen below the 2x scoring mark.

BC

Note that Lepoolo (0 pts in 13 min), Ezike (0 pts in 6 min), Amborn (0 pts in 5 min) are all scoreless.  Harper Peterson was scoreless but made a three two double our fourth quarter offense.

BC

And now Papadaki is in, so likely to wind up with a fourth player with 0 points.

Ogden is 1 rebound from a double-double.  She also needs 4 assists, which seems unlikely.

BC

Lauren Green comes in so the bench has now been completely emptied.

I know it was garbage time all 4th Q, but dang if we didn't give up 28 points.  Good to win, but . . .

It’s over.  We got outscored 28-11 in the final quarter, which was pretty embarrassing, even though by the end of the game we were playing five players with a cumulative 3 points scored between them.

Thankfully we had a 39 point cushion.

Boston College is just really bad. The whole 2nd half was basically garbage time.

Ogden 6 assists. ijowe and eschmeyer 2 apiece. starting point guard 0

Even against an ACC bottom dweller in Boston College, Stanford's offense continues to look slow and very mechanical.  Some of the subs were not even looking at the basket when they got the pass.  If Stanford was a good 3-point shooting team, the offense they run might have some merit, but considering their 30.3% shooting percentage, it's a risky proposition and it limits offensive rebounding.  If Stanford was capable of setting good, strong screens there would be more opportunities for clearer drives to the basket, but even Boston College sets better screens.  I think the pre-season 6th. place projected ACC finish might be a bit generous.

Syracuse will be more challenging.

I know Lepolo can make 3s at a high percentage.  I don't know why she hesitates to shoot the 3 when she's wide open, especially when the shot clock is running down.  It's not like she's racking up the assists by passing the ball from the point.  She had zero assists today in 13 minutes of play.  I would rather see Lepolo shoot a 3 than Somfai or Ogden.  I know she was 0-2 from beyond the arc today, but she had many wide open opportunities that she passed up.  It's no surprise that both Clardy and Shay have surpassed her in playing time.

Nice to see Swain step it up.  If she can figure out how to pass to open trailers on fast breaks she will increase her value tremendously.

The core or Agara, Ogden, Somfai, and Swain is starting to show real promise.  Clardy and Ijiwoye have proven that they deserve to take minutes away from Lepolo.  Etchmeyer is still figuring it out, but has been a solid contributor coming off of the bench.  Next season she should be a beast.

In defense of Amborn's lack of scoring, she was being blanketed by a pesky defender.  On the other end, though, she was pretty ineffective.

MAS is a workhorse, but she can't compete in the paint with most of the ACC competition.  I think she is playing at her ceiling.

i have never understood why stanford never has used screens well.

otoh, we finally used post-to-post passes.
