“Don’t be predictable, don’t always run on first down, run some play action” said the announcer just before the play. Prescient much? :)

and our D holds them to a field goal.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - ADPinWDC - 10-31-2026

Looking like tied 17-17 at half... Amazing.
With that brobdingnagian 75 yard TD to TE Brown,
on a double move.
Beautiful play design.  LOUV Secondary lost him
More a dat!  More Cowbell (Tight Ends).
Trying to run Micah up the middle is no yardage.

Uh, make that down 24-17 at half: we game them to much time, and Kienholz scrambles well.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - PalmTree - 10-31-2026

ARGHH!

RE: Louisville Game Thread - newguy - 10-31-2026

Jeff Brohm seems to have quite a foul temperament.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - ADPinWDC - 10-31-2026

Time of Possession in first half
about 20min to 10min for Stanford.

WARNING:  How tired is our thin defense in second half?  Worst red zone defense in ACC

RE: Louisville Game Thread - TriangleTree - 10-31-2026

Their receivers deserve every bit of credit for holding on to balls after viscious (clean) hits. That has kept at least two drives for them.

OTOH, Davis has uncharacteristically missed a couple of open receivers that would have kept our drives going.

We’re still in it, but need near perfection to hang on and pull this off.

Hey, at least it is an exciting game.
And we are not getting blown out.
Yet anyway.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - RJ_82 - 10-31-2026

This is the second game this year in which Pritchard's aggressiveness at the end of the first half has blown up on us.  With better time management strategy and play selection (one more run or a safer passing play), I don't think Louisville gets that final TD.

oh my God!!!

RE: Louisville Game Thread - JeebsOak - 10-31-2026

Wow wow wow

RE: Louisville Game Thread - Langdude - 10-31-2026

Creative playcalling, some good tackling, some great pass coverage, mixing up the blitzes... We look like an actual competitive football team against a squad that has some really, really good athletes.

(I know, also some bad tackling and some suspect coverage. But still.)

Five to six guys on Stanford defense that look like they are in cement

Four holds on that play and not a single flag

RE: Louisville Game Thread - lex24 - 10-31-2026

Blatant hold  on the edge at the point of attack. I don’t know how they missed that.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - JeebsOak - 10-31-2026

Blatant hold, and then turn around and call an unsportsmanlike on Stanford.

We will not get a single call in this dog shit conference

Including one where he has his arm wrapped around the guy’s neck right at the catch.

RE: Louisville Game Thread - fullmetal - 10-31-2026

Refs keeping Louisville in this one.  Also, we should have sacked their QB on that last long run there.  We do kind of have a tackling problem.
