I like Mike, he's a friend and a peer, but I think his approach is hogwash, simple minded, and soft-hearted, much like some of the well intentioned stuff he does...he's the Dott, and I'm not...here's what I think of his letter to Jordan, and here's mine:
STICK A SPOON IN MY
THROAT, THAT IS SICKENING. I'M SURE EVERY ONE OF YOU JACKWAGONS IS HAVING A GOOD CRY IN NAMBYPAMBY LAND.
DEAR JORDAN,
YOU MAKE THE KICK OR YOU SUCK, UNTIL YOU REDEEM YOURSELF DOWN THE ROAD, BUT THIS SUCKING SOUND WAS EPIC, AND IT SHOULD HURT AND INSPIRE YOU FOR A LONG TIME TO OVERCOME IT AND SHUT EVERYONE UP ABOUT IT, IN THE MEANTIME AS ELMORE LEONARD WOULD SAY, YOU HAVE TO RIDE THE RAP.
SHAW WILL HAVE TO OVERCOME THIS TOO, JORDAN, BECAUSE HIS FAULTY DECISION MAKING PUT YOU IN A POSITION THAT WE KNEW THE WHOLE GAME WASN'T HEALTHY, AND HE WASTED TIME-OUTS AND AN OFFENSE THAT WAS MOVING THE BALL WITH PLENTY OF TIME FOR HIM TO GIVE YOU A CHIP SHOT. THE GOOD NEWS IS, YOU'RE YOUNG, ALL THE GREAT KICKERS HAVE STARTED OUT OR SURVIVED THIS TYPE OF ORDEAL, AND IN THE BIG PICTURE, YOU'RE STILL GOING TO HAVE A SCHOLIE AND GRADUATE FROM STANFORD. JUST DO US ALL A FAVOR, AND WIPE THE CHILD MOLESTER OUT OF OUR RECORD BOOKS, THAT WILL GIVE US ALL SOMETHING TO ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU BY...
