How is Odenigbo going to make a commitment at the Army game? He isn't playing in the game.

He's not playing in the game, but he is making his decision on the same day. Should have been clearer on that.

I hope we get Sanders and that he is a terrific back. His famous name won't draw attention to Stanford in the "post Luck era"unless he is a great back and Stanford continues to win.

There was a GREAT segment on Odenigbo during the UA game. If one watches the segment it is very, very hard to then believe that he is not coming to Stanford. I would guess those feel good player stories find their way on to the web.
The segment included comments from multiple members of the family and his HS coaches. His Dad has always placed academics first, and every family member was hopeful that he would get to attend one of the great universities. But the real comment that sealed the deal cam from Odenigbo himself. He commented that he would like to work in Silicon Valley one day. If you want to play D1 Football, is there a better way to make that happen than Stanford? Even if he rightfully believes that he could still get to Silicon Valley through Northwestern or Notre Dame, the idea that he aspires to be in Silicon Valley one day was an encouraging sign.Â

It is on YouTube. I saw it there last week.Â
Odenigbo sure looks bigger than his listed 217. He absolutely blasted Cal QB Zach Kline in the UA game last night on a blindside hit. He clearly has the pass rushing skills to play early. If Odenigbo commits, got to give your staff a lot of credit for getting two Top 10 34 OLBs in the same class. That is tough for any school to do, let alone Stanford.
