Wonder what happened in between contact (with Hamilton) and announcement (of Nussmeier)? We can pretty sure it happened--footballscoop.com is pretty reliable and Kevin Gemmell has a corroborating report (http://espn.go.com/blog/stanford-football/post/_/id/5608/pep-hamilton-to-alabama). Dream world is that Hamilton said, "Nah, I like it out here in Stanford but thanks for calling, Nicky" but who knows?
