Yeah, but he can't cover anyone.

If Bademosi really is that fast and talented enough to get drafted then why wasn't the secondary any better than it was? He's a dual football and rugby player, right? Maybe that's like playing tennis and squash... the fundamentals conflict with one another. By the end of the season the coaches had moved Gatewood back to corner and Terrence Brown emerged as the more reliable of all the team's corners, and better tackler.

Congrats to Andrew Luck and the rest of your guys who went through Pro Day. Luck really looked impressive and pretty much cemented his spot at #1 to the Colts. The rest of your guys performed admirably as well.

Yeah, he was physically talented but not necessarily talented at the other football-playing aspects of his career. A lot of playing secondary is pattern-reading--that is, anticipating from the steps the receiver you're covering what kind of route he's going to be running. Not saying that was Bademosi's specific problem, but it is an example of how playing secondary is much more than being physically talented. Actually, I was surprised at how well all three starting secondary seniors tested. Hopefully they all get NFL looks.

Is there a Junior Pro Day? I was shocked that Bademosi ran that fast and found a ProFootballWeekly.com profile of him that lists a 4.6 40 time from a 2011 pro day.
