In any event, here is something that is very interesting, at least to me.
Oregon State vs. Stanford is at Noon on Fox nationally.
ASU vs. the team Under Stanford Control is at Noon on the Pac-12 Networks.
THAT is something few SC fans probably would have predicted back in August. :)
do you know when Comcast is going start covering the Pac-12 network on the east coast?

I wanted to start with humor/reality
Let's go with...6 months after DirecTV & FiOS carry the Pac-12 network or whenever the Pac-12 becomes the Pac-14 by adding Temple and Rutgers.
And then with that silly comment about Temple it dawned on me that there might be a way to up the ante a bit without really impacting the Pac-12 too much.
That alternative? Partner with the Atlantic 10, or any East Coast conference that is primarily about basketball that might love the opportunity.
The Pac-12 could easily carve out early Saturday (from the West Coast perspective), Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays for some East coast basketball only conference that is tired of starting games at 10:00 EST or after the Duke game ends. It actually could be a win win. And those Eastern time zone content would enable us on the West Coast to avoid that inevitable 10AM Saturday tip. (You know it is coming!)
Without a game changer the Pac-12 needs to a team from the conference to win the BCS CG or the NCAA Basketball Tournament or for Dish to start really gaining share in the Pacific and Mountain time zones.

Nan3cy...
My condolences on the loss of your friend.
I do have one question...
What is a "true-blue Stanford fan"? That sounds like an oxymoron....

The Oregon State game will be carried by Fox rather than sequestered on the Pacific-12 Network.
But bloody marys and mimosas will have to do.
On a related note, I read that ESPN chose kal/oregon over our game, which I think is bullocks. Who wants to see oregon abuse kal in a game that will be over before it even starts?

Does anybody know how this selection system between ESPN and Fox works? Does ESPN always pick first or do they take turns on who picks first? I searched online and couldn't figure it out. My family's policy is not to have cable until the youngest goes to college so it's FOX or firstrow.

71B.ear,
Point taken. Tickets have been given to people who bleed Cardinal red. Thanks for pointing out the need for a correction. :)

Thanks Garvin. You know me - always one eye on the horizon. If we beat the Beavers, Stanford-Oregon would certainly be the top pick next weekend. And even if we didn't, given that the first pick this Saturday was Oregon-Kal, there's probably a good likelihood Stanford is on Fox again.

Stanford-Oregon will either be on Fox at 12 noon or on ABC at 5 pm. USC-UCLA gets the other slot.

I can believe that's exactly who's running the show at the Pac-12 (networks) right now.
