As are all completed NFL games.

So much for all those people who thought Trent Richardson was going to save the Colts' run game woes.  Need some beef up front.

Anybody remember Jim Dray?

Apparently he is playing NFL football, and he just caught a TD for the Arizona Cardinals, for whom he has apparently been playing since 2010! I think it is his 8th NFL completion, which explains why I never realized he made it in the League.

I think Trent Richardson just isn't much good at the pro level. Browns' trade looks brilliant.

Dray was a preseason Mackey Award watch list guy, iirc.  The fact that he's still in the league says something, but I think he's bounced around a bit.  Certainly the QB play in Arizona leaves much to be desired.

I think Trent tends not to be the kind of player that consistently makes his own plays in spite of his OL (but who is?).  But he's above average, at least in terms of perception, so defenses will have to respect him.  He'll open up play-action nicely for Luck.

I hope this puts to rest who's the better QB.  The only advantage Luck has is his top 2 receivers.  Wilson's team has a much better defense, better RB, and an usually better offensive line.

Re: Stanford Bowl II Game Thread - fullmetal - 10-06-2013

I presume Wayne and Hilton are the Colts receivers who you're referencing?

I agree that Wilson has a better team around him.  On the other hand, the Colts won with lower total yards, so that Colts defense might be underrated--they held several Seahawks' drives to FGs rather than allow touchdowns.  Two of those Colts TD drives combined for a total of five plays.  Caught the 'Hawks napping there, I guess.

Jim Irsay needs to get some reinforcements for his field general.
