I really have no clue. I go with a low ball score of 20-17. Defensive battle all the way.

Part of me thinks we're going to lose, but another part of me doesn't want to predict against us.
24-21 Stanford, the game is close pretty much the whole way.

Stanford runs and passes well throughout the game. After taking a 7-0 lead to start the game, ASU doesn't score again until a field goal late in the half. Similar result in the 2nd half.Â

Stanford suddenly and deliberately reveals an aerial attack the likes of which has never been seen. In the 2nd half, the defenseless demons are pounded into submission on the ground. This is a day that will live in Pac-12 infamy.
After the game, a sobbing Graham asks why Stanford didn't ease up in the fourth quarter. Shaw calmly replies, "Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it."

I'm of two minds on this one.Â
On one hand Stanford handled ASU pretty easily (at least through three quarters) when they met earlier this year. Everything we tried, worked, the Devils couldn't stop us in the air or on the ground and Hogan had one of his best outings of the year. Arizona looked like a light version of the Oregon Ducks, a team that Stanford was built to destroy. Surely we can beat these guys at their place, right?
And yet, the Sun Devils have looked much stronger since playing Stanford. Graham has seen tape of his team's game and of all Stanford's other games. He will have a defense primed for our between the tackles runs and take away the deep pass play. If he does that ASU could keep the game close and in a close game a home crowd could make a big difference.
I'm more convinced by the first narrative - Stanford 27, ASU 17. Hogan will have a good night throwing for two TDs. The Sun Devils will have some success in the air - enough to stay in the game but not enough to win. Ground yardage will be tougher to come by with ASUs ground game held below 100 yds.
I'm seriously shocked to be still leading this thing. I think I pulled away early when my belief that Stanford would have trouble scoring in the Pac 12 proved true and have been holding on since the mid point of the season.Â
Will we throw our bowl game into the Cardboard Prediction game mix?

Those who see my post on the "take the under" may wonder, but this is a score prediction based on going to OT tied at 27. Teams trade FGs in first OT. Stanford stops ASU in 2nd OT. Trent Murphy with the game clinching stop.

Defense will stop the run and contain Taylor Kelly. Gaffney will run successfully and Hogan will make plays with feet but we'll suffer turnovers which will keep game close and allow them to score same points as the Domers.
