FWIW, my recollection is definitely a little later than that (somewhere between 1975 and 1977), but at the time I thought it was prompted by a magazine cover story titled "Primal Therapy: Scream Yourself to Sanity." We had that title cut out and stuck on a cabinet door in the school newspaper office. But if they were primal screaming in Paper Chase, I suppose it might really have been prompted by someone who'd seen the movie.
