Quote:I think Harbaugh does love Stanford but who knows what will happen when someone waves a wad of the very largest bank notes that only the NFL can offer under his nose? Not me....
If money is what motivates him, he should take the $3mil-a-year contract that Stanford is offering him, at least for a year. Â In order to lure him away, another team/university would have to beat his current contract, which is a relatively paltry $1.2mil per year. Â If he\'s making $3mil per year, they\'ll have to offer him something in the $4-5mil range to lure him away.
(Obviously, I hope he stays for longer - this is just me being pragmatic)

Possible that RB Amir Carlisle\'s commitment could come unglued because of Mike Singletary\'s failure. Â Carlisle\'s dad is on the 49ers S&C staff. Â Often the whole staff assembled by the old coach goes. Â If the sacking gets wholesale and the family ends up moving to the next job, Carlisle may want to stay close to them. Â If he signs an LOI, Â
then the family moves, Â he\'s stuck with us. Â Or, maybe none of the above will be in play.
