Shaw is holding off on naming Costello the starter: https://twitter.com/LombardiHimself/status/911845262166941696
KEEP CALM. He did the same thing after Hogan's debut against Colorado.
I mean, would anyone expect any different?
...Now, actually doing something other than starting Costello would be bonkers. But he can't just SAY that, gotta make him sweat, or something. I dunno, but I think everyone knew that was coming.
Did we ever learn what happened to Chryst? I didn't notice him leave the field.

Doesn't Shaw owe it to Keller to tell him that decision face to face in private than in saying it in a post game press conference...in a game that Keller may have left with a concussion because he's trying to make some extra yards by not sliding? I certainly don't need Shaw to give me all the answers in the press conference. I will be confused if Costello isn't the starter next week but I do believe Shaw should be making the official decision after he's had conversations with all his QBs in private first.

I agree. Shaw is a coach, not a fan. He can't just walk off the field after his QB goes down and the backup has a great game and say, "Woohoo, we got our man!" There are ways to do things.

Shaw's subtle trolling in this press conference is pretty amusing:
https://twitter.com/StanfordFball/status/911844379211395073 "I'm sure the question on everyone's mind is...Bryce Love."

The other thing to keep in mine regarding Chryst is that he might not even be able to play for a few weeks. If it was a concussion, which seems likely, he could be sidelined for a while.

I hope it turns out that neither Reid nor Chryst were concussed.

Great game last night. Costello appears to be the answer but Love is the solution.
Bring on Arizona State!

Was there a question with Reid? I thought he was in until the end of the game. And definitely, there's no question you'd prefer guys not be seriously hurt. But given what happened I'd be surprised if that wasn't Chryst's issue, unfortunately.

I saw Reid go down with about three minutes left and do not believe he returned.  It was upper body but I was not clear on exactly what.Â

He went into the tunnel with a minute or two left. I'm assuming it was because the game was a sure thing at that point, and not because of anything serious. He did not seem to be in any pain or walking weird or anything.

I remember Reid getting kneed in the head by another Cardinal defender, but my memory could be a little off.
Re: UCLA GAME THREAD - ChicagoCard - 09-25-2017
I think it was Okereke and Reid who were involved in a tackle late, and they collided a bit.
