Seattle has never played in a WS.
I believe the four that have played in a WS but have never won are:  San Diego, Colorado, Milwaukee and Tampa.

That is correct (both questions), unfortunately for this long suffering Padres fan.

There are only four MLB teams who have not gone to the postseason in the 2020’s.  Who are they?

RE: Sports trivia thread 2025 - PAsportsfan - 06-04-2025

A’s ?

RE: Sports trivia thread 2025 - skip75 - 06-04-2025

Rockies, Pirates, Angels, A's

RE: Sports trivia thread 2025 - BostonCard - 06-04-2025

A’s were a 2020 Wild Card team.  Rockies (last went to the postseason in 2018), Pirates (2015), Angels (2014) are correct; we are missing one team.

White Sox ?

RE: Sports trivia thread 2025 - BostonCard - 06-04-2025

Not the white Sox, who made it to the ALDS in 2021.

The answer won the World Series in the 2010’s but has not been to the playoffs since then.

Thanks for the clue:  Washington

RE: Sports trivia thread 2025 - BostonCard - 06-04-2025

Yup, Washington won the WS in 2019 but has not been to the playoffs since then.  It was a tough one, because I think of the Nationals as a team that’s been “good recently” so I don’t think about the fact that “recently” is now six years ago.

OK, some more futility questions.  Only two teams have never won their divisions.  Who are they.

Colorado is definitely one.

After frantically running through the list of expansion teams in my head .... Maybe the Marlins?  I know, they have two World Series but I think they were a wildcard both times.

RE: Sports trivia thread 2025 - BostonCard - 06-04-2025

Indeed, the Marlins, despite having won the World Series in 1997 and 2003, have never won the NL East.

There is one other team who has not won their division since MLB added the Marlins and Rockies back in 1993, who is it?

I thought there were only two (as noted in your initial post re: the topic):  Colorado and Miami.

To clarify, this team has won a division crown in its history, just not in the 32 years since Colorado and Miami were added.

Ah-ha.  My guess is Pittsburgh.  They have been terrible for a long, long time.  Their only postseason game that I can remember in the last several decades was the one that Bumgarner won for SF with a big assist from Brandon Crawford.

RE: Sports trivia thread 2025 - BostonCard - 06-04-2025

Pittsburgh is correct.  Their last division win was the 1992 NL *East*.  The following year, with expansion, they realigned into the NL Central, and have not won since.

Camilo Doval recorded his 100th save last night making him the seventh Giant pitcher to record 100 saves.

Who were the other six?
