Re: Game thread - Brainiac_Infinite - 11-01-2015

Halloween is usually an ordinary and unremarkable night for me but tonight was something else.  I have never been so excited and yet scared at the same time.  My heart never pounded so hard before.  This game had everything.  The ups, the downs, the controversies and the dramatic ending.  This was a game that will go down in all-time classic.

It was definitely an ugly game.  I hope that was it for the ugly games for this season.  I donʻt think my heart can handle another one.  I will take the WIN no matter how ugly the game was.  On to Colorado.

Neither the losers nor the winners of this game will want to call it classic.  Maybe some viewers....

I hope this turns out to teach the Stanford coaches & players weaknesses they can overcome, rather than teaching our opponents weaknesses that can be attacked.  No doubt the players should recognize that they can fight back after being down.

I'm sorry but I cannot understand how anyone can say the defense had a letdown.  One of the statistically best offenses in the country got six possessions in the first half and came away with only 15 points.  THAT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT A LETDOWN.

The defense saved our butts tonight by keeping Wazzu out of the end zone in the first half, stopping the two-point conversion, and Meeks' game-winning second INT of the game, among other plays.
