Costello really regressed during the game. How do you miss that gift?
PAC 12 taking it in the shorts.
Ill just conveniently blame Bloomgren and move on to not care about basketball this year.
Go.......Steelers?

Worth noting:
1) Beat the spread!
2) Put up more points against TCU than anyone besides Oklahoma.
Costello didn't play his best game and in the end that did us in. Two bad INTs, one almost certainly took points off the board, second killed us. He also missed the wide-open guy that cost us 4. Coulda shoulda woulda. Oh well.

Unless you consider "kidnap some TCU linemen and brainwash them into playing for Stanford" I'm really not sure what we could've done to fix the defense, and that was the problem.
Although, actually, our offense outscored theirs. Weird game for us, we don't normally make special teams mistakes.

I think it's very fitting that the season ends on Jordan Perez totally whiffing a tackle to give up the first down.
The fact that he was on the field in that situation shows how weak we were in D depth. We need to reload the linebacker corps.
[/quote]
And the D line and the defensive backfield. Needs all over the field.

One blitz in the entire second half. Even Joey Galloway was commenting that Stanford finally blitzed and forced an incompletion.

2 point loss. Way too much negativity. Had the chance to drive and win it. Injuries and SEC officials did not help.Â

I am not surprised. I had expected a 2-score loss when I learned that the Card will play TCU. They can't handle Big 12 speed. Shaw's team is geared up to win Pac 12 North and they did that. So it was a successful season. Congratulations to the team.

Hill a mediocre QB...who got it done. D...did not.
Hat tipped to TCU but not as much as the wine glass tipping to my lips.
Speed kills....

Hubris leads inevitably to nemesis. The last time I saw that at Stanford was the Donald Kennedy fiasco.

Yes. The fact that we had to start him shows how shallow we were. He started the season as a 3rd stringer. He didn't play his way up, as we all could witness.

Sorry. We were up by 18. No excuse to blow a lead like that, especially as we were completely dominating them. What happened? Their players got better all of a sudden?
