I don’t know the answer, but what is the shortest amount of time between two runners scoring?
No idea, but I know the shortest amount of time between NHL scores is two seconds.
Shortest time between NHL goals | Guinness World Records

Magic is correct.
Mick was on the right track with Keith Wilkes - one of his UCLA teammates did it.
Of the other 2, one is from 1986-7 and one is from 2022-3.

Add Magic Johnson
Don’t know if he played with Wilkes at UCLA but I think Bill Walton won the Championship with Portland his first year
Whoops …. Looked up Walton and no. He was hurt of course.

If not Wilkes or Walton - how about either Dave Meyers or Henry Bibby?

Henry Bibby is correct!
Bill Russell - USF/Celtics, '56/'57
Henry Bibby - UCLA/Knicks, '72/'73
Magic Johnson - Michigan State/Lakers, '79/'80
The last 2 are more obscure. One is Louisville/Lakers, '86/'87. The other is Kansas/Nuggets, '22/'23.

Billy Thompson from Louisville on Lakers?
Local Camden high school had a pipeline to Louisville.

One quick question, the way the question is worded a 12th man non-starter would qualify and there must be several rookies who have that line on the back of their "trading card". We're assuming these rookies either started or were meaningful contributor's, right?
For instance, the Warriors had two lightly played/non-starting rookies on their 2022 championship roster although neither Kuminga nor Moody won an NCAA title.
RE: Sports trivia thread 2025 -

Well done PA! Billy Thompson is correct.
The 5th was Christian Braun.
Per CBS sports & other sources, these are the only players who have "won NCAA and NBA titles in back-to-back years". I would assume that this includes anyone on the roster, whether starter, rotation player, or bench/bit player.

It was almost three. Bob Lunn tied for third at the 1970 U. S. Open. He also had a 9th place at the PGA and a 10th at the Masters, and won the Masters three point tourney. Lunn won six events on the tour.

My oldest and I attended yesterday's game. Great game, highly entertaining:
- Nine runs scored, including home runs from Schmitt, Yaz and Adames.
- Ramos had four two-out RBIs - and an easily-catchable error in LF leading to an unearned run.
- Yaz had two outfield assists, including one at home plate (out by a mile), and one at 2nd base (close play, runner argued vehemently, Boston lost the challenge).
- Schmitt went 4 for 4 with a double and an HR...he's at .286/.369/.462/.830, and his plate discipline looks a lot better.
- Jung Hoo Lee in a hitting funk but dazzeld in CF.
- Adames, over the Mendoza line with two hits.
- Devers (getting NOTHING to hit) had a single and a walk
- Even Bailey had a hit and a run scored.
- Robbie Ray, difficult outing, gave up two HRs, but only one walk.
- Stanford's Erik Miller got the win, he's 4-0. Looked great, only pitcher to not give up a hit (he walked a batter).
- Tyler Rogers gave up two hits, but got his 17th hold.
- Randy Rodriguez gave up a walk and a hit but struck out two.
Incidentally, in the last 18 days, there have been 17 games in which the Dodgers, Padres, Giants, Diamondbacks have faced each other. Dodgers, Giants and Diamondbacks basically held serve, Padres slid (lost five of seven to Dodgers). And the Rockies, despite a recent four game winning streak, are on pace for the worst record ever.
Giants bullpen has an ERA of 2.63, easily the best in baseball. Next are the Astros at 3.28. Rodriguez leads all of MLB at 0.79 ERA, Erik Miller has a 1.03 ERA, Tyler Rogers is 1.24. Doval is 2.06.

And the Giants schedule through the July 4 weekend is extremely easy: Marlins, White Sox, Diamondbacks, A's. Three teams with terrible records, and the D'Backs are one game over .500.

I was a three year starter on one of the great college basketball teams. Born in Oklahoma and played in college with two future Hall of Famers. I was an All American my senior year and missed out on a third Final Four by two points. I had a decent NBA career after being drafted in the first round.
Who am I?……
