Actually, both of our "representatives" on the CFP committee are AA - Condi Rice and Ty Willingham, both of whom are recused from considering Stanford. Interestingly, at least to me, is that Willingham is not recused from considering Washington or ND...
Willingham's son works on the Stanford football staff.
Ah, that makes sense. The GoStanford page says that Nathaniel has been on the farm for two years - first year as a recruiting assistant and now as a volunteer defensive assistant.
Given that, and assuming Nathaniel is the reason for Willingham's Stanford recusal (no reason to doubt you, terry), it's surprising that none of the other committee members have any immediate family member affiliated with any other school's football team at that level or higher.
Additionally, it's a little surprising (at least to me) given all the other recusals of committee members, that Bobby Johnson isn't recused from consideration of any schools.
The terms of Johnson, Rice, Committee Chair Kirby Hocutt and Barry Alvarez have expired. New committee members will be named in mid-February from the five basic categories of former players, coaches and administrators, sitting athletic directors, and current journalists and
This year, Rice was the conference liaison for the ACC and the MAC. At various times, she has been the liaison for the C-USA, AAC, Big Ten, and Big 12. Never the Pac-12 or the SEC.

Yes, each conference has two committee members assigned to cover that conference (at least initially, as the committee has had several mid-term resignations).
I'm not sure what exactly you're responding to, Mick, but I was alluding to this (from the CFP Selection Committee Protocol):
"Following are the recusals for the 2016 season:
Arkansas Jeff Long
Central Michigan Herb Deromedi
Clemson Dan Radakovich
Duke Tyrone Willingham
Oregon Rob Mullens
Southern Mississippi Jeff Bower
Stanford Condoleezza Rice, Tyrone Willingham
Texas Tech Kirby Hocutt
Wisconsin Barry Alvarez"

247 and ESPN both show Chaz Ah You as being on the big visit, scout does not.

Of the 24 entering freshmen this year, 11 are part or all African-American. There is also pretty good diversity on the staff with 2 AA (incl Shaw), 1 Native-American and 1 East Indian. Nothing to worry about.
Who is the East Indian? Never knew.

Same question for who is Native American.
Lance Taylor is Native American.
Tavita Pritchard is Pacific Islander.
Pete Alamar's mother is Cuban.
Akina is also Pacific Islander, isn't he?

Not dispositive, but he had lots of tweets for/during his OV to UW in December but none (so far) about Stanford.

The timing of the Big Visit looks great. The deluge has stopped, the clouds have parted, the waters are receding, and a dove came back with an olive twig this morning. The forecast is for sunshine. The campus should look beautiful.
Hoping for a clean sweep of uncommitted visitors.

As long as Ryan Johnson and Dalyn W-P are there, things are good in their admission status, yes?
IIRC, two visitors were reportedly not yet admitted by the time the visit weekend happened in 2016. Beau Bisharat was denied admission after that weekend, and Herbig was admitted.
I'm hopeful Shaw wanted to avoid that happening again, and that everyone who is there has been admitted or received word they were while on the visit.

Everything is really pretty right now. Clean crisp air and brilliant green against a deep blue sky. Forecast high for tomorrow and Sunday is 58 degrees F. Total roadster on a winding mountain road sort of weekend. Of course all the winding mountain roads are damaged from the storm and all that new stucco around the windows I replaced at least 28 days before all the rain hit isn't exactly painting itself. Plus my yard looks like a Russian steppe after all the rain. Gotta fire up the Husqvarna. Then the roadster. :)

Hope you're talking about a bike and not a leafblower. And if so, your yard must be awesome.

Never knew so many parents went to BV - pretty neat to see.
