Fully aware.  I know him, we've talked, we're in similar businesses, etc...

I am laughing.
I was reading this thread backwards and
wondering who "the author who posts here sometimes" was.

Laughing again.

I had been looking forward to posting more as,
after over four years,
we are days away from the final edits of the final 45
pages of my novel.

But now, the only thing to write about is recruiting.

Wait--that works.

I wish the best to all of you, and to everyone close to you.

Yeah, I think it's an open secret in these parts, but I didn't want to specify who said author was.  I think BigEasyCard knows, (and Mick obviously does), as do most of us old timers, but not all.

Hey Hulk, to distract, it might be a good time to start a new music thread.

The meet is cancelled.  Her University is going online Spring quarter and sending the students home.  No outdoor season.  Her track career just ended.

Feel terrible for her and for you but this was the right decision.

Hearing rumblings about extending eligibility, at least for sports with spring championships. Maybe she'll get another chance?

If you click on the globe icon under any one of Hulk's posts, you'll see just how big a secret his identity is.

I feel for your daughter, and terry's nephew.  I really do.  I would lose it if that happened to me.

Another year of eligibility won't help my nephew. He's a senior and he has post-graduation plans. He can't come back to school for another year just to compete in track. A lot athletes probably are in the same boat (especially in Div. III where there are no athletic scholarships). Oh well, at the end of the day, these are just games. It's unfortunate but it's the right call.

RE: College athletics cancellation tracker - BobK - 03-14-2020

Spring athletes will get another year. How many seniors can take advantage guessing few

Plus all spring sports are partial scholarship so the limit must be raised. Can’t cut money. Presume tennis isn’t affected by this women’s tennis is full scholarship
