At first glance, it appears we’ll get time to settle into the schedule with Washington/Wazzu/Cal up first before a brutal stretch of UCLA/ASU/Arizona/Oregon/ Oregon State. Lots to look forward to!

So now that we have a schedule, a Zoom quilt of our players, injury updates and some fuzzy but positive coach-speak about the frosh and sophs, what we really need is the inside scoop on who is raising eyebrows and exceeding expectations so far in practice. Anyone?

Can we really call that a schedule? More like a suggestion.

If you want a more concrete idea of a schedule, I'd suggest looking at Cal's and flipping the days to get an idea of what ours looks like.
It's nice that Cal and Stanford are playing on different weekends instead of back to back per usual.

I second bl82's request. Would love to hear any information on who has improved and how they have improved. My gut tells me that if we are going to exceed expectations this year, it will be because the sophomore class has made a big jump over what were already strong contributions last year.

Great to see the schedule, fuzzy as it is. One silver lining about this strange upcoming season from my POV -- we have a full round-robin for the Pac 12. Ever since the Pac 10 went to Pac 12, we've had an incomplete matching with all the teams in the conference, and I've never been happy with that. That meant, as it has for all sports, that some teams have "softer" schedules, others tougher ones. It was definitely unbalanced, and not as it should be for this very competitive conference. This year, we play everyone twice and so does every other team (assuming no games are canceled due to . . . ). No team has a conference schedule advantage/disadvantage. I like that!

A balanced schedule, complete round robin, playing Cal twice weeks apart--in many ways this is a far superior schedule to past years. Promising frosh, outstanding improvements with our sophomores, a coming to earth of rival Oregon--the table is set for a great season.
But then again, Santa Clara County just went from orange to red to purple today. I'll believe this season when I actually see it.

That's a statewide change based on the numbers. Has nothing to do with her. Same thing happened all across the state, including in places where the local health director is less conservative in terms of prioritizing community health and lives over other considerations. Let's try to stay on topic of the women's schedule if possible.
Cheers,
Pete F.

If I heard right, conference games will be, except for some on ESPN. I'm not sure about nonconference games.

I hope I’ve just missed it but I cannot find any indication that the first three games of the #2 ranked team in the country are going to be televised. Or on the radio. Say it ain’t so, Joe! If need be , I’ll be glad to show up with a mike and take a whack at it. What am I missing?

Well, I’m trying. Still, it feels like the old “if a tree falls in the woods and no one hears it.....” thing. If they play a game in Maples and no one sees or nears it, did they really play a game?
