The one thing we couldn’t afford was a turnover...

Gotta score here, after a clock eating drive.
Fehoko with a one handed catch. Awesome!

First Down Stanford!!!
RE: Washington Game Thread -
martyup - 12-05-2020
Jones with a 1st down! 1:30 remains
We're in FG range with 1:13 to play!
3rd and 3 with 1:07 to go. UW took their last TO
FIRST DOWN! ?
If they overturn the 1st down, QB sneak for the game.

With the 10 second runoff, isn't that game?

Do we turtle?
RE: Washington Game Thread -
BostonCard - 12-05-2020
Yes. We will turtle in victory formation.
I guess not. With the first down we could run the rest of the clock.

Congratulations to David Shaw on his 60th conference win, the sixth fastest coach ever to get to 60 Pac-12 wins.

Well, I can see why Shaw and his staff drive Cardinal fans cuckoo. If the team could play like this every week, this is a NY6 program year in and year out.

A SIGNATURE WIN, 31-26 in Seattle with a MONSTROUS 15 play Smashmouth, grind-it out, bone-crushing drive to seal the deal. Brilliant Shaw. More than 440 yards Offense against the #1 Defense in Pac-12. I give the O-Line the game ball for gelling on the run and protecting Mills on 252 yards passing with a big uptick in 3rd down conversion with 10 of 13. brobdingnagian. Nice to pound the Dawgs at the end with a smack in the face.

Congrats on a very surprising win. Especially the way they played in the first half.
Don't understand the logic behind the clock at the end. 3rd and 3 with 1:07 left. Jones is down short at 1:03. If the refs had marked it correctly originally, the clock would have wound down to around :23 before we would have had to snap it/call time out. Instead of 40 seconds, only 25 seconds were run off because of the replay review. 15 seconds could have made a difference if we didn't get the first down . . . .

Is this right?... what the announcers said:
Because of COVID, the team is STAYING in the Northwest, and traveling to Corvallis to play ORST,
rather than hosting the Beavs in Palo Alto Shutdown Town.

Yes, that is correct.

Yes indeed. Dr. "Don't call her Czar" Cody had edicted that no contact sports, at any level, are allowed in Santa Clara County. No 49ers, no Cardinal, no Spartans, no Sharks, nobody. The only county in the country with such a edict.

Yes. No college or pro contact sports. Only county in America.

My buddy who I was talking with on the telephone - don’t worry I’m not violating the order I would not dare have anybody over to my house to watch a football game – said the same thing. Who knows. It only took them about 25 minutes to figure it out anyway. There’s nothing like Pac 12 officials. Larry Curly and Moe every week. With Shep right there with them.
I was just sitting there saying for god sake‘s don’t kick a field goal. And he didn’t.
