What an incredible win for Stanford against an experienced Florida squad. Catie Baird was massive, and Holly Campbell came through in the final moments. The biggest revelation may have just been how big of a gem we have in Miner.

The team definitely played better than in Philadelphia.
Gritty... they came back late in set 1 and toughed out a tight set 4, after falling behind early.

Miner is a work horse and has a very good connection with the hitters with the limited time she has had on campus while she was away with team USA. The only knock against her that I noticed was that she seemed to run out of gas in the fourth set. It may have just been me being too critical but hopefully as the season progresses she will get better conditioned to pace of college ball.

BTW, Texas plays Minnesota today 5:00 pm Pacific at Minnesota on BTN.
I thought Hambly coached a masterful strategy against Florida. He had the servers and hitters often targeting Florida's setter. The setter (21 digs) made the first touch on the ball and Florida became discombobulated.
Hambly sometimes had Kipp replaced in the back row with a DS. IMO having the best possible passers/diggers in the back row was a key to victory.
My only frustration was Kipp making so many errors. She hit .032% which is not good.

I think Stanford has a small chance (1 in 10?), but I don't expect them to beat Texas this weekend (maybe by the end of the season).
Agree on Kipp. Hoping she improves with more playing time (and coaching).

Minnesota blew big leads (21 -13 in 1st set) in 2 of the sets. Both teams had struggles at time. Sammedy (Minn) and Eggleston (Texas) very, very good
