Gotta give Haase and the team props; they came close to pulling it out. Interesting lineup for alot of the 2nd half, especially at the end. Ingram playing Draymond-like point forward, Jones, Angel, Murrel /Delaire and Kisunas, who played his best game maybe ever. I favored leaving him in to the end.
Stanford is the better, and certainly deeper team. Do they play at Maples this year?

Yep, I had the same thought about that late-game lineup. Really liked Ingram at the "1" and the others were playing well too. I thought Silva also played very well in the second half. I want him or Ingram to get the point guard minutes moving forward.

Kisunas made two clutch free throws at the end!
Other than that, I found little to like about this game.

Kisunas is less of an oaf than he used to be

Disagree. He had 10 pts and a bunch of rebounds, many in a crowd, and most of them important.
Keefe played ok but Kisunas was tougher this game. I'd like to see Reynaud get lots of play when he recovers. He is the future.

I was there, high and deep in the back recesses of Section 1. On defense I made noise, and our team responded in kind by making
signal. We were Tree in the second half, just like we were Tree against USC and at WSU, but it wasn't quite enough to make up for the Dishonorable Heathen first half. Hit three or four of the missed free throws and this is won.
When it got to 31-17 the Husky fans started getting really loud, and soon after got even louder. When you are on the road you are not just playing against the other team, you are also playing against their house, and that house helped the Dawgs build the lead to just large enough to keep us from coming back. Kisunas almost completed the comeback all by himself, which is both a good thing and not such a good thing (where were the other guys?).
If nothing else, we appear to have the perk of being a second half team. This was better than being up 15 at the half and sharting the game away at the end, as recent past teams would have done, but in terms of being a contender for the tournament or even the NIT the recent history is in the books; the Cardinal bear the burden of proof.

Any talk of the team being exhausted went out the window. This team has heart, and if they had not dug such a deep hole for themselves they would have won easily. Not the outcome that we want, but compared with last year this team is fun to watch and easy to like.
I quit on this game early. Too bad I didn't come back for the second half.

Do you ever see any positives in a Haase-coached Stanford team?

My observations from inside the arena:
First, begin at the beginning. The woman who sang the national anthem was wearing a Miss Washington sash. She was Very Pretty, and although I have no professional insight, seemed to sing well. I can imagine that more than a few people would find an excuse to watch if someone who makes this kind of decision found an excuse to put her on television.
Second, the Stanford team during the first half was extremely sloppy with its passing and overall play. I saw nothing that would cause me to believe that the Cardinal might pull this game out.
Thirdly, the Husky team of the second half was unable to score, and created hope that the Cardinal had a chance. Snuffed out at the end, but it did seem real for a while. Oh well.
Another Stanford team to fail in Seattle. Too many times.

I saw the same things yesterday that I've seen for Haase's entire tenure:
- getting off to a terrible start to the game
- ridiculous numbers of turnovers
- having the wrong players on the court at key moments
- bad positioning on defense
- bad endgame management
Two good wins this week did not turn Haase into the next Coach K.

26 points from the starters?
USF coach doing wonders on the Hilltop. Not quite Russell and Jones or Ollie Johnson and Jim Brovelli but fun to watch.
Are you watching this team and young coach Mr. Muir?

One thing I've noticed in Hasse's tenure. We get a couple of good wins and everyone gets all hot and tingly and thinks we have turned the corner. We follow those up with a couple of games like last night and it's deja vu all over again on our way to a mediocre season. Hopefully this one will be different but I wouldn't count on it.

Glad to hear you were able watch the game in person and support the team. I had to DVR it and almost didn’t watch the second half. Very entertaining second half and it gave me hope!

Give the team credit for fighting at the end and almost coming back. What was frustrating about the game, though, is that these are the games we need to win, against the teams we need to beat, in order to be relevant, and having beaten USC and WSU on the road, I was really hoping that this marked a turning point in Haase’s tenure.
Still hoping that he can at some point get us to the NCAA tourney. At least the other coach got us to a bowl game as recently as 2018.

Ooopss.... I'm in the wrong thread. I thought you were talking about the Stanford team with a Hall of Fame, 1100+ wins coach, returning all but one from last year's national championship. Silly me.
