Ariz doesn't know what to do offensively. Best defense of the season

I think the team might be just a little pissed.

If you mostly shoot layups, yeah you can manage 63%. And the defense has been very good so far.

Jones is 4 assists away from a triple double.

3rd quarter even better than the 1st.  Let's dominate the 4th with a new cast, and send that full house home disappointed.  Expect for our two Cardboarders who are there ;)

AZ now trying to mug us.

Wow Betts.  Keeping the ball up high.  What a nice performance.

Maybe the best version of point guard I have seen from Jones. She has been excellent.

When we see Brink and Betts playing together, we are seeing next year.

Come on. They are trying and they are tired.

When this team turns it on and decides they want to win they are pretty awesome.  Compare the effort tonight to that on Sunday.  And, this is a top 20 opponent in their own house.

RE: WBB: Stanford @ Arizona Thursday 6:30 ESPN - old spanish trail - 02-09-2023

Or I should say, they are trying to try.

RE: WBB: Stanford @ Arizona Thursday 6:30 ESPN - martyup - 02-09-2023

Both teams have playing their bench.  Our bench is better.

Prechtel to Iriafen Hi-Lo now.  Nice to see this emphasized by multiple players.

RE: WBB: Stanford @ Arizona Thursday 6:30 ESPN - martyup - 02-09-2023

Jones and Brink combined for 36 points and 20 rebounds.

Jump quietly shot 3-4 (75%) from downtown.

Tonight could have been the best road game we have played all year, considering the level of the opponent.

I just loved the combination of Brink and Betts- high/low, over and over.

RE: WBB: Stanford @ Arizona Thursday 6:30 ESPN - 81alum - 02-09-2023

At this time last week we were ebullient with a massive beat-down of WSU.  Now we are overjoyed at a win over a good team, on the road, in front of a gigantic crowd, on national TV.

Let's hope we can keep our focus up.

Right now I am feeling some joy.

Not only did we get the win, but we did it without canning a million three pointers. Jump was 3/4, but we were 3/9 overall.  This win was done by pounding it inside despite Arizona's efforts to pack the paint.  We had 50 points in the paint.  50.

Is it just that Arizona cannot match up against us?  Some of this might be match up advantages that we won't have against certain other teams.  But it is nice to see us pounding it inside, to see Jump getting back to being Jump, to see Betts being a factor, to see Nivar contributing well, and to see the Hi-Lo game taking off.  Much of this can be used in future games.

Current leaders in the Sombrero Challenge: Haley w/12 rebounds, and Betts with an 86% shooting percentage.

Unlike marty, I'm jealous of Adia's jacket.
