Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - 97fan - 10-13-2012

Did Mike Mayock just say that Manti Teo showed "intellectual curiosity" as he sniffed out a run? It's really embarrassing when football announcers use words they don't understand.

Still getting the "Bad Nunes" as the third quarter closes.  I miss Andrew Luck.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - Viking_Guy - 10-13-2012

It's hard to wear the other team out with your running game when you can't generate a first down and keep the opposition defense on the field.  I see Stanford's defense getting much more tired than UND's; the entire third quarter, three possessions, no first downs.

And lining up empty backfield on 3rd and 4 with Nunes throwing as poorly as he is should get someone fired.

"Bad Nunes" is the norm I fear.  "Good Nunes" only comes out in rare occasions or against awful defenses.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - yvonne - 10-13-2012

I don't see another score in this offense, and I wonder whether the D's too tired to score.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - Griffins78 - 10-13-2012

Horrible official call reversing the completion to Toilolo. Then they screw up spotting the ball - we lose 4 yards on the video officials.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - treefan - 10-13-2012

it was close, hard to tell when the ball came out and if his hand was under it.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - Griffins78 - 10-13-2012

His elbow was down and the ball hit that arm on the ground before it came out out of bounds.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - TreeFitty - 10-13-2012

Gah, this is shaping up for a dreaded 17-13 score. come on defense!

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - TreeFitty - 10-13-2012

Come on, miss/block that kick!

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - JeffInCorvallis - 10-13-2012

0:23 to play, ND has ball 4th down on the Stanford 5.  Stanford holds a 3 point lead.  Pouring rain.  Pray for bad snap.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - TreeFitty - 10-13-2012

I hope Shaw doesnt RichRod it.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - treefan - 10-13-2012

knew our earlier missed FG would haunt us, and not being able to get a TD at 3 yd line vs. settling for FG.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - TreeFitty - 10-13-2012

OT is scary, since well, that means we're probably going to have to score a TD

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - JeffInCorvallis - 10-13-2012

Our FG kicking is also questionable, especially in crappy weather.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - Gauss - 10-13-2012

Their receivers have performed just much better than ours :(

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - JeffInCorvallis - 10-13-2012

ND scores.  Now Stanford O must score a TD, has not scored one all day.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - TreeFitty - 10-13-2012

Oh man, bad Nunes is here.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - TreeFitty - 10-13-2012

Thats a touchdown, damnit.

Re: Watching Stanford vs. ND - Roberton3 - 10-13-2012

Is the replay official not allowed to review goal-line calls?  It looked like the ball broke the plane on at least 2 of the last three plays of the game, but it never got reviewed.
