Still anyone's ball game but I'm glad we are where we are.

Yes, clearly trying to be sure ASU didn't get the ball back. Reasonable call, just frustrating when Hogan gets the first down with no time left.

Yeah, but we might not have gone for it on 4th done if there was more time on the clock.

We only went for it on fourth down coz there were 5 seconds left in the half. We would've punted otherwise.
Good clock management IMO, especially considering ASU's momentum.

Interesting half - on one hand, the two ASU scores seemed pretty fluky, seems like it could easily be 28-0. We seem to be taking a lot of deep shots, some of them have worked out and others have not. I wonder if Gaffney is being rested for a heavy second half workload pounding the run.

All in all, have to be
very pleased with the half.Â
+ We had a couple of fumbles/near fumbles that went our way.Â
+ We converted a TD on 4th down.Â
+ Shaw has opened up the playbook very nicely.
We gave up some big plays but we are definitely not letting them do what they want. Our D has been good in second halves. The tone could change, but our guys know that and will play tough. LET'S GO!!!

But, like previous Stanford games, this one will probably end up close as well.
Torture!
;D
Yep, it's going to end up close. The stage is pretty much set for us to be holding on to a lead by our fingernails as the game winds down.

Very uncharacteristic let down defense on the second TD. One more guy hustling over could have stopped that one. Skov not 100 percent? Other guys need to step up. Lyons needs to focus on making the tackle, they will be throwing his way for sure...

Stanford got ahead because it got more big plays + good field position. Not truly dominating, imo. We'll see, but the defense can make a statement to start the second half.

Ug. I'm sure my perception is warped, but the D doesn't seem to be electrified right now. Seem sluggish. ASU getting deep into Stanford territory.

tough break for the devils to miss that short of a kick. Let's see what Gaffney and Hogan can do.

Wanted a TD, but I'll take a FG. Now it's time for the D to make a big play!

Frickin' Wildcat in the red zone. Again. Why?

The timing on that is completely off.
Well, it's a 3 possession game now. Hoping for a stop by the D and let's embark on a 5 minute drive to close out the quarter.

So close to putting this game away, but it definitely hasn't happened yet. Secondary needs to make tackles and right now I don't think Kelly is in rhythm passing, so in decent shape, seemingly.

Jordan Williamson, I do not take you for granted.
