Dumb question... which is which?  I would think that we are more likely to be underestimated than army, and certainly the armed forces can be considered to be underappreciated.

Cut Blocking is a technique used by OL not DL. You might be referring to submarining a DL, which sometimes works well in short yardage situations.

Switching it up a bit.  Next Army game I'll do Buzz Aldrin and Sally Ride.

In a fairly recent interview, Shaw said Stanford was underappreciated.

Stanford 30-10.  Williamson redeems himself going 3/3, the red zone offense redeems itself less, but a little bit.  RWIII starts to pull away as the running back leader.

Re: (15) Stanford Vs Army: Predict the score - ColoradoTree - 09-11-2014

Stanford 41, Army 20

We start out angry offensively, but our defense has trouble with the triple option, and we go into halftime up 31-14.  Our defense tightens up in the second half, and a lot of backups playing in the fourth quarter keep the scoreline from getting too crazy.

Re: (15) Stanford Vs Army: Predict the score - czaja - 09-11-2014

Our D has been excellent so far this year, and I expect that to continue.  The offense will be pissed off, and will put up more points than they normally would.  I feel like they eased up a bit last year out of respect; I don't think they'll be any such mercy this year after the 'SC game.

Army 7

Re: (15) Stanford Vs Army: Predict the score - martyup - 09-11-2014

Coming into the U=S=C game, I was brimming with optimism for a dominant season leading to a Rose Bowl appearance and a trip to the NCG.  I was drunk with fanatical dreams of a well oiled Stanford football machine crushing the Teojams and leaving Sark on the hot seat after his second game.  Today, I am a sober Stanford fan still hung over from one of the most frustrating loses I have ever witnessed.  Until our team can show me that they can play disciplined mistake free football, I will remain skeptical and cautious in my predictions.

Last season, Army gained 284 yards on the ground against our D.  They return leading rusher, Baggett, from last year's game.  I predict they will continue to move the ball on the ground against us.  I know we have the offense to move the ball on Army.  But, we need to do much better in the red zone than we have in the first two games.

Army 20

Deja vu, oui?

I think it was Robert Gates that remarked that the biggest doves in Washington wore uniforms.

I'd go with Thunderchickens for us and if we ever played Wisconsin again, Wyoming or Yale, I'd label them the Chickenhawks.

Thank god, it's not Hoover v Ike.  I don't like our chances in that matchup.  Hoover could definitely beat Davis.  Maybe even Robert E Lee.  Definitely not Ike.

Us 41, US Army 13

(Based on my terrible record in the first two games, this prediction guarantees that that the total combined score will be less than 20 or more than 80.  You've been warned, fellow pickers.)
