Re: Stanford ND game thread - Leftcoast - 10-04-2014

Thank you for showing me the other items on the menu but I'll stick with our senior QB, thank you.

Arm on the shoulder? I'd be pretty pissed if that were called against us.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - dabigv13 - 10-04-2014

Look, those were not easy throws, I don't blame Hogan for missing them. Hogan can play well if put in the right position to use his talents. He can throw well on the run, can get yards on the ground, and has nice touch on deep balls (when not throwing a wet ball in swirling winds).

Well I'd be pissed too, but it would've been the right call. The arm came down onto his shoulder before the ball got there. And it was a catchable ball.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - dabigv13 - 10-04-2014

Well THIS is bullshit. Notre Dame's friends came to play.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - BostonCard - 10-04-2014

Well you can be pissed now for the ticky tack late hit call.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - stupac2 - 10-04-2014

Yeah, missed the hold on Lyons and then total BS late hit call. Thanks, refs.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - stupac2 - 10-04-2014

OMG this defense. Incredible.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - dabigv13 - 10-04-2014

Damn. Have my doubts he had control of the ball before he touched out of bounds, but nothing looks definitive on the replay.

Come on offense, let's get some separation.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - BostonCard - 10-04-2014

Karma's a bitch.  And in the battle of qb's, while both have struggled, I'd still pick hogan vs the notre dame defense over Olson vs. our defense.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - stupac2 - 10-04-2014

That was a worryingly long review but thankfully they got it right.

Ruling was confirmed; and it was pretty clear on the replay.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - 82 Card - 10-04-2014

I can't help thinking about the points the offense gave up last week.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - dabigv13 - 10-04-2014

Tough catch, but Hogan put it there. Still wonder if running a playaction out to a TE would've been a better call on second down there.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - stupac2 - 10-04-2014

Ty needs to catch that. It wasn't a perfect throw but you need to make that catch.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - BostonCard - 10-04-2014

That was a GENEROUS spot.  I'll be pissed if he gets the first down.

Surprised Shaw didn't challenge, but I guess in college challenges are more valuable than in the NFL.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - dabigv13 - 10-04-2014

Everett Golson's eyes are really close together.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - stupac2 - 10-04-2014

Hurray terrible hold!

This is looking like mirror-image teams so far, but our mistakes have been less costly.

Re: Stanford ND game thread - BostonCard - 10-04-2014

Nice to see someone ELSE miss a field goal.
