The '18 Class may not be quite finished yet. A very intriguing ILB prospect is coming out for a visit.
Sayler visited during spring practice.

Well at least nobody blames Thunderdome for losing recruits anymore. We all lost a ton of sleep worrying about that every first Wednesday in February.....not.

I see some evidence of that in the class of '19, but they've missed out on a number of their top targets already, and it's frankly a disturbing trend.
Notwithstanding CTCard's excellent points about the staff's process and why that has come about, and your points about how those decisions are handicapping us in this brave new world of early signings, I did want to take issue on your quote about "they've missed out on a number of their top targets already". The "early" signing day isn't for another 10 months, and any potential top target still has a chance to enroll in two AP classes and take the SAT multiple times before submitting an application to Stanford.
The short versions is that while I acknowledge that it is harder to flip a recruit currently committed to another school, there are plenty of cases of recruits changing their commitment, especially those committed a full 18 months before enrollment. If we want a recruit, and they are willing to put in the work, nothing irreversible has happened, yet.
