Avoid the goose egg at least.

Think how bad this would be without the last drive last week.

I think if we lost last week we'd be putting up a much better game. Seems like this team always has a let down of some kind, every year.

Not this bad.  Not for a long time.  This is ugly bad.  Embarrassing bad.  Fugly.

Re: Stanford vs. Washington Game Thread - jacketree - 09-30-2016

I wouldn't kick off deep or punt the rest of the game until it's a game again.

Why not? Go for epic.

I think the 2 was smart. Down 4 scores, but only if you make some 2s. Might as well try for em early.

If the run game isn't working we're completely incapable of using the short pass game to replace it, and I can't see any reason for it.

Yes I agree with this. Shaw and Chip Kelly are buddy buddy, and one thing Kelly's offenses do well is the quick-hitting passing game. Maybe they could brainstorm.

They have, but the big thing that I want to see is something like what NE runs. It's not even like you have to have Brady to run, Garoppolo did just fine in his starts with the same dink n dunk. You just need a quick arm and smart route running.

But whatever it is, I think we need to evolve our offense. We're doing largely the same things we did with Luck and while it works great when we have the overpowering OL, we can't really count on that year in and year out, not in college ball. The fact that we simply cannot play from two scores behind is a problem.

And yes, going for two is what you want.

Bochy and Bum may kill an umpire tonight.

I mean if this gets out of hand or anything...
