An optimistic view would be this is evidence Terrence Alexander is Farm-bound.

Here is a complete list of commits and targets who will be on campus for their official visit this weekend.

I have a feeling we will sweep the four uncommitted prospects if they receive good news from admissions.

Make that 5. OT Jesse Burkett is visiting and has been admitted. With Vandy's coach about to leave for Penn State this should be an easy decision for him.

What happened to WR Trevon Lee?  24/7 still lists him as visiting Stanford in January, but, according to this article, he is down to Duke and Vanderbilt: http://sfhighschoolsports.com/2014/01/recruiting-blitz-updating-visits/

Re: Class of 2014 - OutsiderFan - 01-08-2014

I don't remember reading if Lee submitted an application or not, but if guys who once were considering Stanford no longer mention Stanford at this time of the year it seems safe to assume they were an admissions casualty.

So is it also safe to assume the class will be at most 21, if all visitors are admitted and committed?  Or are there other possibilities not visiting this weekend?

Alexander, Schultz, Thomas, and C. Tucker seem to have no plan B behind them, and Burkett would be important for OL depth.  My order of importance:

1. Thomas (must have great DL play to have great defense)
2. Alexander (see Rose Bowl for importance of great athletes at CB)
3. C. Tucker (highest rated OL prospect in two years, will need Peat replacement in 2015 IMO)
4. Schultz (would be great to have, but with three young TEs, not a back breaker without him)
5. Burkett (don't know much about, but doesn't seem as elite/unique for Stanford as others)

Re: Class of 2014 - stanfan95118 - 01-08-2014

21 doesn't sound like a whole lot following a class of eleven. It also doesn't seem like there is much margin for error.

How many guys are leaving this year? That's what really determines how big of a class we can take, right?

Re: Class of 2014 - washingtonismoney - 01-08-2014

List above doesn't have Leaitaua or Lee...

More broadly, w/r/t class sizes -- we're probably going to look smaller in terms of class sizes for the foreseeable future because of our attrition issues. That means recruiting rankings are going to be deceptively low for a while.

By "attrition issues" you mean "lack of attrition"?

Exactly. We lose players far less frequently than other teams do.
