Juju smith shuster looks pretty good for a player with a broken hand.  Arizona is still up on SC.

I think this Cal defense suddenly remembered it's a sieve.

Re: Saturday's other games of note (Comment here) - ThePassionOfTheChryst - 11-07-2015

Also, the Vernon Adams rendition of the Oregon offense concerns me a lot more than does the Jeff Lockie version.

Bama wins, holds Fournette to 31 yards on 19 carries.  Thank you, Santa!!!!

Thankfully Bama pretty well crushed LSU, so there won't be any "LSU plays Bama tight, so they only fall two spots."  Eff that, they go below Stanford!

I can hear the complaints now: LSU lost to Alabama, the best team in the country while Stanford lost to lowly Northwestern

We joke but that's a valid point.  However, this Stanford team is very clearly not the Stanford team that lost to Northwestern -- who is, truth be told, not a bad football team.

59ers averaging 5.6 yards per rush -- when they do, making Oregon look like lightweights.

Averaging 4.5 YPA.

Naturally, 21 passes to 8 rushes.

Northwestern is 7-2, so it's not a bad team, but people don't care unfortunately. I saw on one comments section that someone said even if every undefeated team took a loss, we still shouldn't be in the Top 10

Re: Saturday's other games of note (Comment here) - BostonCard - 11-07-2015

People can say what they want to say.  At the end of the day we just need to keep winning.  Northwestern should be in the top-20 on Tuesday, same with UCLA.

Let's hope the committee takes the rankings more seriously than does CalFan420 in the comments section.

Oregon administering a whooping on the 59ers and their vaunted defense.

Actually, the real disappointment is their offense -- in this game (if you can't put up points on Oregon, what are you doing?, he wrote, in famous last words) and over the entire season.

Doesn't look like Kal is going to help us clinch the North tonight.  They are the pooh bhears. (make that poo hbears)

That's OK.  A division title is a dish best served with duck.

Ca.l has managed to give up 31 points, 22 first downs, and 441 yards, in ONE HALF.

The D.ykes era may be coming to a close sooner than many thought.  And to be clear, this has as much to do with him wanting out as much as his flaming out once again, and being 0-11, soon to be 0-12 against UCLA, USC, Oregon, and Stanford.

Funny Mike Leach was out in force tonight...

http://espn.go.com/blog/pac12/post/_/id/94482/mike-leach-has-a-parting-shot-for-arizona-state-we-stole-a-bunch-of-their-signals

Asked about what halftime adjustments he made as the Cougars outscore ASU 28-10 in the second half, Leach says, "The first half we stole a bunch of their signals, and those helped us a bunch the second half".  Also, heard in the music at Martin Stadium:

Yeah, I see a parting of ways after this season, under circumstances where neither side is too broken up about it.

Just curious what the Ole Blues are thinking regarding a successor?

Re: Saturday's other games of note (Comment here) - washingtonismoney - 11-07-2015

Vernon Adams clearly makes the Ducks more dangerous. To what degree? My first instinct, especially because of recency bias, is a lot. But the 59ers clearly just don't care all that much right now. And while the Stanford D isn't that great, it cares a ton.

Re: Saturday's other games of note (Comment here) - ThePassionOfTheChryst - 11-07-2015

Well, there's a bit of it back.
