Let's be optimistic and assume Rector returns. That means the team should have three semi-proven threats at WR (Rector, Irwin, Owusu), three semi-proven threats at RB (McCaffrey, Love, Sanders), four semi-proven threats at TE (Hooper, Schultz, Taboada, Cotton).
Now all you need is a couple solid OL and a QB! Should be a cinch.
Defensively... well...
"Semi?" proven running backs??????

That alone makes it worth it.
Although I'd wish that after we force a team to call a timeout because of a formation/look, that we call a different play after the timeout and not run the same play... lol.
IIRC, South Bend had all their time outs remaining in the last few plays...so we might have forced some timeouts, but perhaps USB was never in a place where they needed them.

I think they only had one timeout left and they used it in an attempt to ice Ukropina.

Right. I think I was thinking of USB's final offensive drive where most of the watch party wanted Shaw to use timeouts...but I remember seeing a full stack of timeouts for both teams on the score graphic.
