Nailed the same upright twice. I'm impressed.

Loving this 1.5 point per quarter offense.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

Well, I will give Shaw some credit.  We ran a play with 6 seconds left till halftime and rector was stopped a few yards short of the goal line.

At least the offense is great between the 40s.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - martyup - 10-08-2016

We really need to get the run game going.  Burns can connect with receivers, but with no run game . . .

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - JohnR34231 - 10-08-2016

Reminiscent of last years Wazzu game. We couldn't get much done offensively in the first half.

We picked it up in the second. Hopefully the same thing will happen this year.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

One thing this settles is that it isn't the play calling.  Shaw has pretty much tried everything that people said he should to no avail.

The problem starts with the offensive line.  17 rushes for 52 yards (most on a broken play and some.scrambles).  That's not Stanford football.

I've havn't seen so little done with so much talent for a long time on the Farm. This is ugly.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - Sea Loon - 10-08-2016

It's strange to see our Oline play struggle like this. Mccaffrey can't get out of the backfield cleanly.

Man I hope you are right.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - North Woods - 10-08-2016

The stats actually don't look horrible, though maybe inflated from the last play of the half. No rhythm though and we aren't controlling the line on either side.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

Defensive line doing ok.  Two sacks and only 30 yards on 9 rushes.

But Falk has had too much timr and our son's can't cover one on one for long.

Trying to look on the bright side here so...

-Adjustments can hopefully be made to get McCaffrey free.
-Tight Ends might be utilized more.
-We won't lose 70-21 with the opponents second offense and defense running up the score without resistance.

Yeah, well, Washington is showing itself to be one of the best teams in the country, and Wazzu is playing well now too. So it's a little early to get all down and discouraged.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-08-2016

Ok card.  Wake the ***** up.

A defensive stop to start the second half is imperative.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - Sea Loon - 10-08-2016

For someone who doesn't follow recruiting closely enough, how does our offensive line pipeline look for the next few years?

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - martyup - 10-08-2016

I'm still looking for play action to CMAC and pitch or pass to Love.

Re: WSU-Stanford Game Thread - martyup - 10-08-2016

Did I see a spider Y banana in the first half?
