Great move for a 235 pound quarterback...

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - JohnR34231 - 11-12-2016

Well, nothing boring about this game.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - Phogge - 11-12-2016

Shawgren strikes again. Goes back to Roman. Have to laugh at the national leader in delay penalties.

I didn't mean running fakes, I meant passing fakes.  It seems to me that he's improved at looking off his receivers.  Anyone agree?

GREAT stick on kickoff by #2 Brandon Simmons.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - washingtonismoney - 11-12-2016

Brandon Simmons has been fantastic over his career on kick return defense.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - Mick - 11-12-2016

Our defense is relaxing.  We can't afford to relax.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - Mick - 11-12-2016

#54 OT Throckmorton just rode Solomon Thomas down and injured him, I suspect for quite a while.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - CompSci87 - 11-12-2016

Thomas injured. Ugh, that hurts.

He looked like he was pointing to his ankle to me. Hopefully they can just tape it up, but man would that be a brobdingnagian loss if it's serious...

Yeah Alfieri

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - Mick - 11-12-2016

Alfieri's having a terrific game.

On the replay it looked like a knee. Both legs got flexed awkwardly. :(

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - stupac2 - 11-12-2016

What a catch! That was some serious concentration to get it and stay in bounds. He's having one hell of a game.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - martyup - 11-12-2016

Hat to say it, but I think CMAC is hurt too.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - ChicagoCard - 11-12-2016

I thought the trainers were initially looking at Thomas' ankle. And McCaffrey was in on that last play.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - Mick - 11-12-2016

MAN, I hope Thomas is okay.

Love looked a wee bit slower on that last run, just in-game tiredness I suppose.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - Mick - 11-12-2016

Keller is looking better at passing.  He looks more comfortable in the pocket, he's trusting his receivers, he's looking off other receivers.  In spite of McCaffrey's drop (which McCaffrey should have had), Chryst did a great job.

And McCaffrey did a great job juking two guys out for a 7 yard run.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - CompSci87 - 11-12-2016

Agree, Chryst playing much better this game.

Re: Stanford-Oregon game thread - JJJ - 11-12-2016

Didn't they show Thomas with his ankle wrapped in ice, with announcers saying he's unlikely to come back in?
