ASU scores on a trick play. They run the wildcat and throw out of it to a wide open receiver in the end zone. 21-17 with 1:33 left in the half.

Like tossing a Mepps Aglia into a hatchery pond.

They scored too soon. ::)Â
Go Stanford!

I can't watch this defense.

Beautiful toss to TE Smith inside the 50.
Followed by great grab by JJAW to the 5..
Stick it in, boys.Â

Nice throw and catch to JJAW. First and goal at the 4. 16 seconds on the clock.

Did JJAW hit his head when he came down that caused the injury?

Offense looked nice, thought it would've been nice to have 3-7 more points despite the Schultz TO. Defense...well.....

FG is all we could muster. 24 to 17 at the break. Costello 12/18 155 8.6

Perfectly thrown by Costello. Kaden Smith needs to catch that to get to the NFL

24-17, Stanford up.
ASU gets the ball to start the 2nd. If they score a TD, I am going to scream.

Have we had a receiver recently with better hands than JJAW? The Whalens were good, but I don't remember so many spectacular catches (maybe this is just recency bias)

That's what I thought happened

We get Holder back. That should help.
I don't care if Wade-Perry isn't great yet, he's a 330-lb DT who needs to be keeping our rotation a little more fresh.

I think Irwin has great hands. He & JJAW were Parade AA WRs the same (their senior) year and I'm thrilled with how they've come along..

Other than another dance clinic by Love,
Facemask penalty by Edwards is the diff in the game. That extended that drive and AZST got a TD out of it, and kept Love off the field.
They are killing us with TOP, 18.5min vs 11.5min for us. But we gained 314yds to 268 for them.Â
They have 29 runs; we only have 10 rushes. T E N. Thank God for Love! 17yds a carry.
We have thrown it 18 times. Dont remember last time we threw more than passed -- maybe 2004.Â

Will Holder coming back help -- by how much?
Neutralzed 2H kickoff by forcing 3 and out. Check.
