SCHEISSE!

Re: Big Game thread - martyup - 11-18-2017

Frickin fake punt works.  Poop!

Re: Big Game thread - jacketree - 11-18-2017

Ballsy.  I kinda like it.

Re: Big Game thread - dabigv13 - 11-18-2017

That was a Big Game play, just like Costello's stumble toss. Damnit. Now Murphy looks shaken up.

Re: Big Game thread - BostonCard - 11-18-2017

Yeah, not a bad call by Cal... even if it had been stopped one yard earlier.

Laird is a load.

Re: Big Game thread - yvonne - 11-18-2017

I had a bad feeling going into this game, and I continue to have it.

Re: Big Game thread - needle - 11-18-2017

Kal landing a lot of body blows with their running game. Stanford gameplan is for Costello to throw for 300.

This is why you don’t upset the woofing gods!  What were some people on this board thinking??

Yeah, Laird running live Love and Love might just be a diversion the rest of the way. Maybe passing can open up the gaps.

Re: Big Game thread - dabigv13 - 11-18-2017

I think we definitely look like the better team, but its frustrating we can't shut them down. That fake punt hurt a lot obviously.

Re: Big Game thread - PalmTree - 11-18-2017

Great pressure from the blitz

Re: Big Game thread - gocard14 - 11-18-2017

Love the call to bring the heat on 4th down. Force them to make a play.

Re: Big Game thread - BostonCard - 11-18-2017

Keeping Cal with field goal tries has been the difference.  They’ve outgained us 178 to 139.  11 first downs to 9.

But good clock management by Shaw to get the ball bavk with 2:37.

Re: Big Game thread - BostonCard - 11-18-2017

Then again, maybe we have too much time if we don’t get at least one first down.

Re: Big Game thread - jacketree - 11-18-2017

I dunno. This is pretty even. Hopefully Love can go in the second half.

Nice run by Speights.

No time outs though.

Re: Big Game thread - jacketree - 11-18-2017

A nice lesson in how not to run 2 minute offense. Geeze.

Re: Big Game thread - PalmTree - 11-18-2017

Urghh ....kind of a mercy killing ending to the half...

Re: Big Game thread - dabigv13 - 11-18-2017

Costello needs to work on his two minute drill. Definitely not Marinoesque there.

Of course maybe if he's the starter all season, a little more experience, puts the team in position for some points there.

Re: Big Game thread - BostonCard - 11-18-2017

Third down sack killed it.  Costello should have thrown it away.

Still can’t complain.  We did an ok job moving the ball from a bad starting position.  Would have been nice to at least get three, but 10-6 going into the half is fine.

Seriously?  The music of lady “ga-ga”?  If you are going to adapt contemporary music at least don’t make it sound boring.
