Is it just me?  I cannot hear the broadcasters during the game over the crowd and band noise.  Commercials sound normal.

Really costly missed downing at 1 by us. When margins are this tight, you have to make those types of plays.

It's fine for me.

That drive was bad. We keep coming so close to sacks and missing them is brutal.

Well there's the delay of game...

Delay of game after a kickoff. Good grief.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - PVTree - 09-29-2018

We need to pressure the QB. Their OL is very good and giving Book all day to throw. He'll eventually find someone or scramble for a gain. I think he's an average QB, but we're making him look like the next Baker Mayfield. We can't just rush 3.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - d4cohn - 09-29-2018

Well, two drives that reached the ND 45 stalling out are the difference so far. Anderson and Shawvita have been great with halftime adjustments this year. Hoping they have some more today.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - North Woods - 09-29-2018

Disappointing end to the half. Driving then stopped, should have downed on the 1, touchdown by ND, bad offensive series. Need to get momentum back in 3rd quarter.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - SamuelMcF - 09-29-2018

Over one season our special teams went from really good to borderline awful. Except Toner and Bailey of course.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - Hurlburt88 - 09-29-2018

Kick return game mediocre is a surprise to me....reinforcing your point

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - Phogge - 09-29-2018

Safties are weak. Buncom had another whiff on the last drive. Passive back line.

Book has good feet. Mobility has been the difference on third down.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - d4cohn - 09-29-2018

And there are the defensive adjustments from Anderson. Great job Coach!

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - stupac2 - 09-29-2018

Are you kidding me refs, THAT'S a hold??? You've let much worse go all game..

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - Redrum - 09-29-2018

Think I'll volunteer to be the first Surrender Monkey.  These guys got better, we are who we are.  I'll be a happy man covered with your abuse and rotten veggies if I'm wrong...but I'm not feelin' it, guys.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - d4cohn - 09-29-2018

No. 20 and 27 have to communicate at ILB spot. One guy has to spy QB, and other has to cover receiver. Extends drive for ND on 3rd and 9, and leads to FG.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - stupac2 - 09-29-2018

Ugh, disaster of a series. We really needed points there. Oh well, time for the defense to step up.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - ADPinWDC - 09-29-2018

Shaw does not seem to know what to call.
Who is making play calls?  Shaw keeps looking at his laminated sheet and playing OUIJA.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - pcgoode - 09-29-2018

Costello has got to take off a few times when the throw isn’t there.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread - d4cohn - 09-29-2018

Our OL started ok in this game, but they are really caving in the face of this pass rush from ND. Saw the same thing on film from the ND-UM game. This ND defense is legit, with a ton of seniors and upperclassmen.

RE: Notre Dame Game Thread: ND 24, STAN 14 Q3 - ADPinWDC - 09-29-2018

SOOOO -- when it gets to 5min remaining Q3, we pull the magical 90yd Fumble Recovery by Alfieri !!
Just like last week !  That is a great play!

It doesn't appear that he has been physically able to this year. Likely lingering effects of hip injury.
